Freedom Bank of Georgia, headquartered in Commerce, Georgia, was closed on Friday by regulators. The FDIC was appointed receiver and entered into a purchase and assumption agreement with Northeast Georgia Bank of Lavonia, Georgia, to assume all of the failed bank's deposits
